Why 20 KB?
A twenty-kilobyte allowance is especially restrictive for a camera photograph. It is more suited to small visual elements, such as a compact signature or a low-resolution identification thumbnail, when the receiving form permits those dimensions. A complex landscape may lose important detail long before it reaches this limit. Choose the part of the image that actually belongs in the upload field. Make the most of your 20 KB
Use the signature portion of the IBPS reference preset when its dated requirements match your current form. It sets a narrow rectangle and a minimum file size as well as the upper cap. A very plain source can end up below that minimum even at high quality. In that case the tool asks for a more detailed original or a different permitted range; it does not pad the file with meaningless data.
Explicit PNG output keeps lossless encoding but does not promise to preserve the original dimensions within twenty kilobytes. A monochrome graphic with broad flat areas may compress neatly, while a textured photo may not. Auto chooses a practical output format from the image’s transparency. Always check the receiving portal’s extension list before choosing WebP for a submission.
Small originals are still re-encoded so that the downloaded copy does not carry the source’s EXIF metadata. That can slightly change the size in either direction, even when no resizing is needed.
